Stat/reg provision relating to nonresident licensing/ application:

W.S. 1977 § 26-9-219.

Licensing exception for singular or unusual losses?:

Yes.

License required unless "loss is of an unusual, uncommon or unique nature requiring special expertise or knowledge not readily available among adjusters licensed in [WY], or for the adjustment of a series of losses resulting from a catastrophe common to those losses" with prior notice of unlicensed adjuster to commissioner. W.S. 1977 § 26-9-219(c).

Testing required?:

Yes.

However, waived if licensed in home state, in good standing, and home state reciprocates. W.S. 1977 § 26-9-219(b)(vi).

Continuing ed. required?:

Yes. W.S. 1977 § 26-9-231.

However, waived if requirement met in home state. W.S. 1977 § 26-9-231(f).

Penalty for violation of license requirement:

Discretionary penalties imposed by Wyoming Department of Insurance. W.S. 1977 § 26-9-211(c).

Penalty for other violations of licensing provisions:

Discretionary penalties imposed by Wyoming Department of Insurance. W.S. 1977 § 26-9-211(c).
