- Description: NUX VOMICA (Vomica Nut) - Used as a homeopathic ingredient used to stop nausea and vomiting and has other pharmaceutical purposes. Heat has no bad effect on this commodity, unless it is excessive. Contact with fresh water or salt water affects the quality; the small discs become discolored and if allowed to remain wet for any length of time they lose a great deal of their properties. As soon as it is found that Nux Vomica has been in contact with water, it must be exposed to the air for drying and damaged goods picked from the sound. See also IMDG Code & US CFR.
