- Description: SENNA LEAVES AND PODS - The dried leaves and pods of various species of cassia. When senna leaves and pods become wetted they discolor rapidly, but although the wetting may have come from an external cause it may be more evident on the inner wrappers than the outer, by reason of the fact that the inner wrappers absorb the stain, which may not penetrate to the outer covering.
