TILES (General)
- Description: When packed in crates so that the contents can be readily seen, less breakage occurs than if packed in a complete case. It may be found that excessive breakage is due to bad firing. Shipped in multiwall cartons. Lately we also saw them in cartons lined with styrofoam TILES (Glazed) - Water contamination or damp packing may cause hairline cracks in the glaze. The slightest chipping of the more elegant and expensive types renders them valueless. TILES (Roofing) - Should be unaffected by immersion in fresh or salt water. Only claim should be in respect of cleaning. See also ROOFING SLATES.
