- Description: Rust damage can arise from the nature of the paper used in separating the files in the cases in which they were packed. In one instance analysis of the paper revealed the presence of aluminium, calcium, potassium and sulphate. A test on the paper showed that it burned with some difficulty due to the presence of these various salts.
