COMBED TOP
- Description: Combed top (combed wool) is washed and combed long-fiber raw wool which is used as a starting material for worsted spinning mills. Combed top is a flat sliver of wool of an average length of 6 cm which is preferably converted into worsted yarn (in contrast to the lofty carded wool, which is converted into carded yarn). Combed top is supplied in grades classed by fineness, length and strength. See also IMDG Code & US CFR.
