A petroleum product obtained in natural condition from dried-up oil beds, or as a distillation byproduct. There is a considerable range in melting points, some very low, and this factor should be considered in relation to the type of packing to be used, especially when a shipment has to pass through the tropics.
Liable to leakage from barrels or drums, in which event consideration expense may be incurred in discharge from vessel and any subsequent handling.
