VOLUNTEER DAY AIMU Volunteer Day is an initiative started in 2014. Ocean marine insurance colleagues joined together in an effort to rebuild Far Rockaway, Queens, and make a positive impact on the community in which we live and work. AIMU coordinated this project with Friends of Rockaway, a local affiliate of St. Bernard Project, a national disaster recovery nonprofit, in rebuilding homes for Sandy survivors who cannot afford to rebuild on their own. Since then ocean marine insurance colleagues volunteer every year at The New York Harbor School on Governor's Island in NYC to help Harbor School to provide its unique on-water and environmental programs.  To learn more about the New York Harbor School visit https://www.newyorkharborschool.org/about/.
