Session 3: Overview of Alternative Fuels
The ABS briefing will cover a high-level introduction to the maritime decarbonization drivers from a commercial and regulatory standpoint and then address the three primary areas for emissions reduction: operations, technology, and alternative fuels. The briefing will then explore alternative fuels collectively before providing more detailed information about individual energy sources LNG, Methanol, Ammonia, Hydrogen….as examples). Tradeoffs and industry maturity will be examined.
